Today I will share with you a DIY Sugar Scrub Recipe that is the perfect, 4 ingredient answer to dry skin, hands and feet. The best part is, this can be used any time of the year to restore moisture and clear away dead skin cells.
I can distinctly remember the first time I smelled the scent of lavender. I was maybe 18 or 19 and had walked into a health food store with my boyfriend. I was not impressed, but I was quite intrigued with the look of the dried bunches. Years later I still remember thinking that I must have not smelled a great harvest or something because today Lavender is my go to essential oil! The only thing is, I have a particular supplier that is head and shoulders above the rest and that has been the secret to my personal obsession. Young Living Oils come highly recommended but choose for yourself which is best and most affordable for you. There are many on the market that are filled with perfumes and dyed and my palette is super sensitive from years of working with real herbs, so I can tell for sure when something has been added. Anywho, let's get to it!
DIY Lavender Sugar Scrub Recipe:
▪lavender essential oil
▪a container. (I use mason or plastic jars)
▪1 cup sugar
▪ 1/4 cup oil
Simply melt your coconut oil and mix all ingredients together. Store in a tightly sealed container and decorate with ribbon or twine for cuteness! If you find that the coconut oil stiffens too much for your liking, simply choose another! Grapeseed, Avocado, Jojoba, Argan, Almond are all fantastic choices!
Enjoy and let me know what you think of this super easy recipe.
